INTRODUCTION
Fleurie has been our “retirement” project. When we are not on our boat we live in a lovely thatched cottage in Dorset. We hope this site will keep family and friends updated on our travels through the waterways of Europe. Those people who have similar interests to ourselves may also find it useful:
Having previously fitted out and cruised the UK waterways in our Narrowboat the “Mckenzie Rose” we decided that a wide beam boat would be comfortable with perfect dimensions for European Waterways. In 2006 we commissioned Ledgard Bridge at Mirfield in Yorkshire to build our hull, the final fit is being completed by ourselves.
